Of the many modalities employed by the EWCAF to accomplish its mission to foster cross-culturalism through the arts and culture, tours rank as among the most important. Most often, visitors from China are exposed to the arts of the West. The Foundation's future plans, however, include doing much the same but in reverse with visitors from the U.S. touring China. 

A typical tour provides direct exposure to Western art through visits to major museums, galleries and artists' studios with a knowledgeable guide. To orient the visitors even before these visits, the Foundation brings in teachers to lecture on Western art history and sometimes even techniques.

In an effort to make their tours even more than merely educational and interesting, the Foundation complements them with a strong quotient of cultural 'fun' via concerts. recitals and other Western 'cultural' activities such as whale watching and shopping and excursions to Universal Studios, Disneyland or Las Vegas.

By tour's end the visitor will have gained a firsthand experience of Western art in a true art mecca as Los Angeles has become. Perhaps even more importantly, though, he or she will have been immersed in American culture in a way that will continue to impact them even on arriving home. It is hoped that they will share these impacts with their families, friends and neighbors.
